Talking Therapies

A path to mental health and wellbeing

Talking therapies, also known as psychotherapy or counselling, are a form of mental health treatment that involves engaging in conversation with a trained therapist. This therapeutic approach can be beneficial for various mental health issues.

Our experienced therapists provide a non judgemental listening ear combined with a structured and supportive framework for individuals to explore their thoughts and emotions, gain insights, and develop the tools needed to navigate life's challenges. The aim is to facilitate positive change through conversation and collaboration between the therapist and the individual seeking help.

Professional Profile

Becky is an Integrated Psychotherapist who draws on a diverse range of behavioural and psychotherapeutic approaches to support her clients. She specialises in neuro-somatic psychotherapy, a method that incorporates understanding and learning about the self through neurological developmental awareness and the lasting impact of key relationships and life events.

Specialised Approaches

In addition to her foundational work, Becky offers Advanced EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing). This neuroscience-based psychotherapy and coaching system builds upon traditional EMDR to help clients process and heal distressing memories, paving the way for more positive future outcomes.

By working with both the mind and the body, Becky helps clients reach new levels of understanding and foster self-compassion for their internal blocks and triggers. This process is supported by:

  • Integrating inner sensations and feelings through interoception.

  • Developing practical skills to balance the nervous system.

  • Learning to regulate and resource all parts of the self to encourage individual growth.h.

Areas of Support

Clients may benefit from these somatic and neurological approaches if they are experiencing:

  • Mood & Stress: Anxiety, Depression, Panic Attacks, Stress, and Overwhelm.

  • Trauma & Grief: PTSD, CPTSD, Grief, and histories of Psychological, Physical, or Sexual abuse.

  • Identity & Connection: Relationship issues and Neurodivergence.

Yoga & Somatic Integration

With a 30-year background in Yoga and Yoga Therapy, Becky provides unique support for those who find that deep physical practice brings suppressed emotions or questions to the surface. Her extensive experience offers a deep appreciation for the transformative and sometimes challenging experiences that arise when becoming more in touch with the body.

Becky also offers regular creative and embodied in-person workshops and retreats. She is a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP).

Why does it matter that a therapist is a registered member of the BACP?

Being a registered member of the BACP means she has met recognised training standards, follows a clear ethical code, and is committed to ongoing learning and reflection in her work.

It also means there’s a level of accountability and professionalism behind what she offers — something that can bring reassurance to anyone looking for a safe, supportive, and grounded therapeutic space.
