Our Purpose
Our purpose is to provide holistic support to those in our community facing life’s challenges – be they physical, mental, emotional or spiritual.
Through funded programmes, low-cost trauma-sensitive services, and collaboration with local charities, we make the life-changing benefits of yoga and holistic therapies accessible to all. This empowers our service users to take control over their health and recovery.
Above all, we are committed to treating all those who come through our doors with non-judgmental compassion, creating a space for healing and growth and fostering a thriving, more resilient community.
Become a Trustee

If you can answer yes to these questions, and are familiar with The Secret Space then perhaps you’d like to express your interest in becoming a Trustee.
The Secret Space is looking for Trustees to join and enhance their Board - particularly individuals with demonstrable skills in one or more of the following fields:
Local networking - particularly in the health and wellbeing sector
Buildings and facilities
IT and Telecoms
Communications, marketing and AI
This voluntary role actively contributes to the effective running of the organisation by providing strategic direction, including setting policy, defining goals and setting targets, and evaluating performance against agreed targets. You will play a key part in ensuring the charity is well-governed, financially stable and achieving its charitable objectives, as well as assisting with fundraising bids and activities. By working collaboratively with other trustees and sharing the workload, you will be a valuable asset to the team.
What difference will you make?
We are a small charity with a large remit. The support you provide to our organisation and the Board will strengthen how much we can do for our beneficiaries by ensuring internal effectiveness and supporting The Secret Space to deliver our strategic vision. In short – your contributions will make a huge impact to everyone involved with The Secret Space.

Our mission is to help people live full and empowered lives, underpinned by a sense of wellbeing and community purpose, so if you’ve answered yes to any of these questions, then maybe we can help each other.
We are always looking for enthusiastic volunteers who can either spare a few hours a week to come and be part of our reception and admin team, or professionals who would like to offer their skills on an ad-hoc basis for specific projects. In return for your commitment to us, you will benefit from reduced rate and even free classes, an enhancement to your CV, and, in most cases, a reference for your future job applications.
