Ashtanga Yoga In Hertford

Ashtanga yoga is a dynamic practice with an emphasis on breath to movement synchronisation to help focus and calm the mind. It is a set sequence allowing for safe and optimal progression; each asana in the sequence prepares the body and mind for what comes next. Ashtanga is traditionally taught in a self-practice style (Mysore style), where each practitioner is moved on at their own pace. The teacher is able to focus on individual needs and gives students new poses when they are ready.

Learn The Sequence

There is a lot of repetition which allows the student to learn the sequence well enough to practice with confidence at home. Home practice is strongly encouraged as this increases the mental and physical benefits of the practice. Mysore classes are mixed ability and beginners are very welcome.

Develop

Ashtanga yoga is suitable for anyone wishing to practice yoga. The Mysore style of teaching allows each student to practice at their own pace with modifications as needed it is therefore a truly student centred practice. Eliane Codiroli and Clare Watson teach Astanga Yoga in Hertford.
